Cameron Moore travelled to Sri Lanka in February to give a presentation at the Australian High Commission in Colombo to senior Sri Lanka officials from the Navy, Police and Attorney-General’s Department on ‘Maritime Regulation and Enforcement’. This addressed issues of maritime jurisdiction over fishing, people smuggling and piracy. Cameron also had a meeting at Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) with the Vice Chancellor, Major-General Peiris, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Mahanamahewa, on developing the relationship between the School of Law at UNE and the Faculty of Law at Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
