EXCERPT
Natural resources, such as water, impact cooperation and conflict dynamics and are essential components of a shared social environment. As a result, the actions of a country, organisation, or person may have far-reaching consequences. Furthermore, the growing scarcity of natural resources, along with unequal distribution, exacerbates these problems. Given these considerations, transboundary waterways have a significant effect on the evolution of cooperative or conflict-driven behaviours. A healthy aquatic ecosystem is, therefore, much more important for countries like Bangladesh and India that share common water resources because the people of the two neighboring countries are heavily connected by rivers in terms of agriculture, navigation, flood control, trade, tourism, and so on (Haque 2018, 18).
