One year on and the GEAReD team are celebrating the success of the Meryl Williams Fellowships first twelve months. Supporting women in agriculture science across the Indo-Pacific to thrive, the program has already made a real impact. There’s been promotions, a flurry of new research projects, collaborations, conferences, webinars not to mention the growth of a strong, supportive and dynamic network.

All this while facing down a global pandemic, natural disasters and political unrest, proving that with community comes resilience! We couldn’t be more proud of what our Fellows have achieved.

With a second wave of fellows in the early stage of the program, we now work with women from Fiji, PNG, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Samoa, Myanmar, Mongolia, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, The Philippines and Indonesia.

The Meryl Williams Fellowship is fully funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and delivered in partnership with Coffey International Development and the University of New England.
