Generative AI is here to stay, and brings with it Academic Integrity challenges. In order to meet those challenges, the team in Digital Education is currently working on an update to the compulsory Academic Integrity Module (AIM) for Trimester 1 next year. The updated version will retain the same format of information modules plus quizzes, but will have revised content to include GenAI considerations.
The current AIM badge will continue to be valid for students who have already successfully completed the current AIM until mid-2025 – students will be given 6 months to complete the new AIM during that time to refresh their academic integrity knowledge.
We will soon be placing a notice in the current AIM to suggest to new students to consider waiting until the new AIM is released before they complete the AIM for them to have the latest content (and the latest completion badge) available to them.
