This is the first in a regular series of post to provide you with an update on the activities of Project Uplift. More information on the project can be found at the project website

Unit Uplift Pilot

A total of 30 units were nominated by the faculties (10 per faculty) to be part of the pilot evaluation and uplift process. This involves:

  • A review, jointly with the unit coordinator, for alignment to the 16 UNE elements as well as to identify any opportunities for unit improvement.
  • Development of a workplan for each unit
  • An “uplift” process to work on the key outcomes identified in the workplans.

The pilot will test, refine and confirm the teams, resources and workload required for each unit.

As at 4th November 2022, 6 units have their review completed and 2 have a draft workplan.

Once the pilot is completed, we will commence the evaluation process for the T3/2023 units (first tranche) either later this year or at the start of 2023.

Uplift Festival

Save the date!  As part of Project Uplift, Education Futures is hosting the Uplift Festival on 30th November 2022. The festival brings together people and practices from across the university to celebrate digital innovation in learning and teaching. Check the event website for details, to RSVP for catering or to sign up for session and tours during the day.

Sessions will showcase some of UNE’s sector-leading practices in 3D and 360 media, video and VR, as well as sparking ideas and exploring potential for new experiences that will be enabled in our new digital ecosystem.

Learn from colleagues, share ideas, develop new skills and connect with a range of UNE people in an uplifting environment.
