Academic integrity and assessment security in online examinations has been a hot topic in the higher education sector recently, and it’s a topic that isn’t always well understood as significant misinformation and fear-based rhetoric dominates media reporting. UNE has a strong, transparent partnership with ProctorU as our OLX supervision provider, with many well-defined protocols in place to ensure assessment security and an effective student experience. Education Futures recently invited ProctorU to deliver a webinar for staff to develop an even stronger understanding of OLX practice at UNE.
Webinar overview
Academic Integrity, Flexibility and Sustainability are key aspects of good assessment practice. Is it possible to have all these things and a good student experience? How are ProctorU able to control a students’ exam environment according to the rules set by unit coordinators? How do they respond to aberrant behaviour? What do students need to do to access their exams? What are the options available to you for setting your exam?
We have invited Sunny Chand, Andrew More and Sean Douglas from ProctorU to demonstrate the processes and protocols that are used for UNE exams and to answer your questions.
