Last week two seven seater Cessna’s whizzed nine scientist, one farmer, a journalist, two CRDC staff members and one from CottonInfo around Gunnedah, Warren, Griffiths, Emerald and Moree to spread the word about the latest research and practice in nutritional management. The primary focus of the event was nitrogen, but other aspects were also covered. The various grower meetings, which had over 300 attendees, were chaired by UNE’s Dr Oliver Knox who’s thought about the tour were summed up this week and captured last week by the ABC . As we wound down in Narrabri last Friday afternoon, rumours of a reprise at the Cotton Conference this August were rife. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
