From the 6th to the 9th of October the only place to be was Canberra? No, it was not for the Floriade, it was for the 9th meeting of the International Society of Root Research and their “roots down under” conference. The event hosted over 300 attendees from across Australia and the globe to engage in almost a week of talks and discussions on the importance of roots in both agricultural and natural ecosystems. Several staff was in attendance from UNE the conference presented an ideal opportunity to put up a poster on some of the work past and present being done on cotton roots.
Hopefully there will be both more cotton and border cells in the 2018 meeting in Israel.
