As part of its ongoing community-focused research programme, Professors Vicki Bitsika and Chris Sharpley recently renewed their 2018 research collaboration with staff at the Athens Special Treatment Unit for Autistics,  Community Mental Health Centre for Children and Adolescents of Athens, and the Child Psychiatry Dept at the General Paediatric Hospital, Athens.

As well as working on their four-nation survey of stress, anxiety and depression among parents of children with autism, Profs Bitsika and Sharpley presented their research work to medical and allied health staff (see photos 1, 2 below), and Prof Bitsika ran a 1-day workshop for clinicians in the principles and practice of Functional Behavioural Analysis in Autism (photo 3 below).

Profs Bitsika and Sharpley will also be visiting Centres for Autistic Persons in Kalamata and Larissa, and meeting with researchers in universities in Thessonaliki and Crete.
