Members of WRaIN are currently involved in a co-authored book project tentatively titled: Re-imagining Water Policy.
Our approach is truly multi-disciplinary and the process truly collaborative. This is an exciting project, which we hope will make a significant contribution to the larger debate on what constitutes good water policy in Australia.

This article reflects many of the interests of WRaIN members:
Cameron Muir ‘Preserved for the people of all time.’
I particularly like the closing line positing that the success of the MDBA plan will ultimately depend on ‘the stories we tell, the histories we believe, and the language we use to understand the world.’

Congratulations to Wendy Beck and her team for ARC Discovery Grant success for the project:
“Indigenous Heritage: working ancient wetlands for social benefit and
cultural understanding.”
The full team is Wendy Beck (UNE), Richard Fullagar (UoW), Judith Burns
(UNE) and Kevin Kiernan (UTas).
Project Summary
This research will answer important theoretical and practical questions about Aboriginal community engagement with Heritage research. It will generate significant archaeological outcomes on the nature of Indigenous occupation in ancient eastern Australian landscapes, and this research will also improve the employability of young Aboriginal people.
