Getting started

Contact the Tune! FM office on 02 6773 2399 or email us  and we will arrange an appointment to discuss your aims, objectives and training.

As a Tune! FM volunteer you can:

  • Present or produce a radio show
  • Become involved in a particular aspect of Tune’s operations. Departments include Production, IT, Music, Online and Technical.

Enroll for Tune! FM Basic Broadcast Training.

To enrol you must first sign up as a Tune! fm volunteer. Tune! FM training courses are currently run free of charge.

Trainee announcer’s

Once you have successfully completed the Tune! FM Basic Broadcast training you will be able to host a regular on-air shift as a trainee announcer.

Enrolling for Tune! FM’s Advanced Broadcast Training

Trainee broadcasters are required to complete a minimum of 15 daytime shifts in order to be eligible for Advanced Broadcast Training. Upon completion of this course, you will be recognised as a Tune! FM Class A annoucner. As a Class A announcer you are able to submit proposals for and produce feature shows. Feature programming covers shifts between 6:00pm and 6:00am and all weekend shifts.
