This Friday is Freddie Day!
People are being asked to be “Freddie Mercury for a day” this Friday 3rd September. This annual event is held around the artists birthday to help celebrate and remember this phenomenal musician of yesteryear and help raise money in the battle against HIV AIDS that took Mercury’s life back in 1991.

It may be a surprise to some (it certainly was for me) to find out that a couple of members of Electric Horse, who will be performing with The Snowdroppers and Grinspoon at the TuneFM 40th Birthday Party on Saturday 21st August, are actually quite seasoned performers from way back.

It was fate. They dreamt about each other on the same night after their reintroduction after 14 years of distance. They’ve already lasted through thick and thin – breakups, too much boozing, fan-pashing, rumours and tears… But that’s only the start. After this all-entailing love affair was looking like coming to an end, the dreams returned!

New Radiohead album in 2010?

Gorillaz ditch opera project
As reported via NME, Gorillaz’ planned opera with Watchmen and V For Vendetta creator Alan Moore has been ditched.
Parklife line-up announced
Missy Elliott, Dandy Warhols, Midnight Juggernauts and heaps more are scheduled to play the Parklife Festival around Australia in September and October.
Shock shock us all
Shock Publishing that is. A surprise announcement through The Music Network yesterday outlined the immediate closing of Shock Publishing at the hands of administrators Lawler Draper Dillion.
