Do you need to provide your name and/or contact details when sending in your study place picture via email?
Yes please
I sent mine through MyUne webmail. Is that still ok? I didn’t put my telephone number though.
All good!

Just a general comment or two.
Please, can the authors on this Insiders guide revert to Australian???
Posse??? Why not mates or cobbers? etc
‘Bunch’??? It is enough that our Moodle has US spellcheck without destroying the idiom of this land with these Americanisms. Please!!
I know things are hard, but it would make life somehow more bearable to know that our tertiary institutions are with rather than agin us.
Regards,
Chris.
I totally agree with you Chris, I am so frustrated with the Americanization of this university. Not only is this university’s IT faculty obviously not capable of creating a program like moodle or black board themselves, specified to the needs of there students, no we have to commit ourselves to thousands of dollar in purchase and servicing of this program ( including American spell check) I am also horrified that the Education Faculty here seems to have fallen in love with the American education system as almost 80% of my texts I have to read are by American authors. If I wanted an American education I would have moved to America and pay big money there for my studies. there.
Moodle is Australian-based software.
English words belong to us all and we use them as we want for the effects we want to communicate. Luckily, we don’t have some academy of experts (or not-so-experts) telling us what we can and cannot say.
posse

bunch has been a part of English since the 13th Century, a bit before Columbus

I don’t have a facebook account (and don’t intend to make one) so am unable to access the link above. A friend tried to access it for me but had to “friend” Ed in order to see the pictures and declined to do so. Is there another option? In the past, I’ve been able to see some facebook pages but it obviously depends on their settings. Last year I think they were available on flickr.
Joanne, the email address for entries is in the blog post.
When will the results be published?
where can we see the pics?
