IT: Online teaching support and FAQ’s updated

Jen (from the IT Helpdesk) got in contact to say they’ve just updated the online teaching support and FAQ site for students and thought our readers might be interested … absolutely. Here’s the details:

It’s now got details of common features, how to access and use myUNE (myStudy), Blackboard, Sakai, e-Submission and Turn It In.  There are also trouble shooting tips for when it’s not working properly.

  1. Hello. I’ve downloaded a trial version of EndNote X3 while awaiting delivery of the CD from your department. I am running Windows 7 (32 bit professional) and Beta Office 2010.

Word repeatedly crashed almost immediately on startup since I intalled Endnote this morning. I uninstalled EndNote and Word works fine again.

Various chat groups are also mentioning this problem eg:

Have you had any feed back on this and what advice do you offer?

    • Hi Alan,

Thanks for the feedback … that doesn’t sound good. Have you spoken to the IT Helpdesk team? If there’s a workaround/solution they’ll be the people who know what to do. You can email via helpdesk@une.edu.au or give them a call on 02 6773 5000.

Let us know how you go.
