SUPPORT: Students affected by floods
We know there’s a bunch of students who’ve been affected by the recent flooding across northern NSW, here’s what to do if that’s you …
To assist students who may be affected by the recent floods, the following examination and assignment advice has been sent to students with a scheduled examination.
Any UNE student who has been affected by the recent floods and who will find it difficult to attend their examinations or submit assignments on time may be eligible for a number of concessions to assist them with completing their studies.
Students who have been prevented from completing or submitting assignments on time, and who require an extension can apply for a Special Extension of Time via http://www.une.edu.au/for/current-students/forms/special-ext-time-assign.pdf
Students who believe that their exam performance will be affected may apply for Special Consideration in marking via http://www.une.edu.au/exams/app-special-consideration.pdf
Students who are unable to attend a scheduled examination due to the floods may apply for a Special Exam (to be held in November) via http://www.une.edu.au/exams/app-special-examination.pdf
Supporting documentation is normally required when these applications are submitted and this could be in the form of an insurance report, SES or Police report etc. In cases where students are unable to supply these documents, we will accept a Statutory Declaration from the student explaining how their studies have been affected.
