UNE Network down from 6am Saturday May 2.

Students, the University network will be down this Saturday (Saturday May 2) from 6am to 5pm for maintenance. This will affect most of UNE’s online systems at some stage during the day … contact the IT Service Desk team on 02 6773 5000 or via servicedesk@une.edu.au if you’re having any issues after the downtime.

You can read the full details below …In accordance with the ITD’s scheduled maintenance window plan, the next maintenance event will occur on Saturday 2nd May 2009. ITD will be performing maintenance work between 6:00am and 5pm.

As a result of these activities all University administrative systems will be unavailable; network access, including internet access and the University online services and teaching systems will experience disruptions throughout the duration of the maintenance window.

This event is one of a regular schedule of maintenance windows during which essential upgrades and maintenance improvements will be applied to University systems.

Schedule times may vary to cater for important events such as residential schools and notices regarding the schedule of maintenance windows will be posted on the ITD Services Announcements web page before each scheduled window.

Please check the ITD service announcements web page regularly for information relating to ITD services interruptions and planned events.

To reiterate, for this scheduled maintenance window, the following systems will be impacted: Disruptions throughout the maintenance window for the majority of University online services including Internet access, email and online teaching systems and corporate UNE systems.

Date: Saturday the 2nd of May, 6am - 5pm.
