United Campus Bookshops, the supplier of new textbooks at UNE, is currently experiencing major technical problems with their website.
Unfortunately UCB does not have a recovery date but once you are able to access www.ucb.net.au you will be able to place web orders again. The shops email address armidale@ucb.net.au will re-activate when our website is recovered.

Don’t forget that all the important dates you need can be found under the Principal dates link in the BlogRoll on the right hand side of this page. These include the official Semester starting dates as well as the census dates for changing units etc.
2009 dates are also available to help you plan for next year

Was just talking to the guys who run the backend of the Blackboard system and apparently everything is operational again - woohoo!
But if you do encounter a problem, make sure you contact the IT Helpdesk to let them know - give them a call on 6773 5000 as soon as you see any problem!

You may be interested to know that there is a Facebook group for University of New England External Students. You have to join the UNE network first and then the group. Great way to meet people who may be doing the same course or at least going through some of the same experiences studying/working/living/juggling
