Local independent DJ’s will share the UNE Bistro stage with national touring act The Seabellies as part of TUNE! FM’s “HOMECOMING”  on Thrursday the 8th of May.

The Seabellies are an experimental outfit that combine elegant electronic sounds, rock layers, strange, unusual and pretty instruments, with melodic vocals. The kind of sound you would expect to hear if you walked into your favourite recurring dream and got in a glass elevator that took you 3 km’s into the sky and you can see and hear everything, only its different.

The Seabellies are touring to promote their new single “Heart Heart Heart Out” released through ABC/Warner and are hot off playing this year’s Essential festival and the 07 Virgin V festival.

Community youth broadcaster TUNE! FM is promoting HOMECOMING to provide an evening of diverse, independent and alternative music.

“We wanted to run an event that offers something fresh, the local independent scene has become fairly underground and there’s not much out there for people out there looking for something a little different” - Chris Jahnsen, Station Manager TUNE! FM.

Tune! FM is not for profit and is kept running by its Volunteers. Tune’s doors are always open to new volunteers and interested persons should contact the station for more info.
