STUDENTS: Help us fix BLACKBOARD!
The peoples at UNE’s IT Department and Teaching & Learning Centre [who look after Blackboard - the online learning system] need your help!
See the official email below:

In the Blackboard environment the highest priority issue has been the “Unexpected Exception†error.
This error manifests itself as an apparently random occurrence, with the message “An Unexpected System Exception has Occurred” after which the student or staff member is required to restart their browser to resume their session. We have been working in conjunction with the vendor to resolve this issue and have applied a number of changes which we hope has reduced the frequency of this issue and assisted with overall performance.
The nature of this error makes it very difficult to measure, and while we have noticed a reduction in the frequency of reports to the Service Desk it is not yet certain whether the situation has improved or is simply no longer being reported.
Confirmation by staff and students of their experience would assist us to prioritise our ongoing efforts.
We would appreciate your feedback regarding the exception error and overall performance of Blackboard and have established a temporary email address at bbe@une.edu.au to which you can send your comments. Your feedback will assist us in verifying the anecdotal evidence that the exception error is reducing and overall performance is improving.
Feedback on Sakai and e-submission would also be welcome as this will assist us in the identification and resolution of problems.

So get onto it folks - if you’re still having issues with Blackboard - report it now and lets get it fixed!
