Top ten tips for trouble free tuition

The arrival of the first package of information for the year can strike a strange mixture of anxiety and delight into the most hardened campaigner. So here are a few tips for the first few days and weeks

1. Read the information you’ve been sent by the University

2. Set up a nice quiet and tidy study area

3. Tell all your friends and colleagues you are studying this year so they can heap great praise on you for finally embarking on a course you’ve been talking about for years

4. Reread the information you’ve been sent and set up an impressive planner on the wall and colour it in

5. Turn on the computer and go to the UNE website and spend some time finding out where things are (the email of your course coordinator, the Library page , the ASO online tutorials just to name a few)

6. Set up family photos in your study space (will help you to remember what they look like) and colour in minimum family time on planner and don’t give it up

7. Get organised (great time to have a bit of a throwout and clean out the plastics cupboard - do it now so you have nothing to distract you when you are SUPPOSED to be writing essay/report/etc)

8. Eat and sleep well and go easy on the caffeine - exercise is a great stress reliever

9. Stay happy and ask for help if you can’t

and 10.  (you guessed it… ) Read the information sent by the University!!!
