Notice of Disruption to Services – FMS Cleaning Arrangements over the Christmas Break

Monday, December 19th, 2011

Facilities Management Services (FMS) wish to advise staff that the last clean of all buildings (toilet blocks, kitchens, tearooms only) will be carried out on the afternoon of Friday 23rd December 2010, prior to the Christmas/New Year break.  This will mean there will be no rubbish collection or cleaning performed from that night until the night of Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

Cleaning will commence at 12.00pm on Friday 23rd December, any areas conducting Xmas Parties on that afternoon will need to advise Broadlex Cleaning Services  on ext 2310 or email cleaning@une.edu.au  to ensure food scraps etc are disposed of to outside bin receptacles.

F.M.S. and Broadlex Cleaning Services would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday.

ITD Scheduled Maintenance, Saturday 10th December (half day)

ITD will be performing maintenance on University systems and services this Saturday the 10th December 2011.

The maintenance will commence from 6am and will complete by 12 midday, as a result, a number of systems and services will be unavailable during this period.

For Students:

· All Students – UNE’s database systems (including Moodle and MyUNE / online enrolment) will be unavailable between 6.00am and 8.00am on Saturday morning. We expect all systems to be back up by 8.00am, but their may be brief interruptions to individual systems throughout the morning.

For Staff:

· Access to all major database systems will be disrupted periodically during the morning.

· Other systems will experience intermittent interruptions during the outage as we perform maintenance on our servers.

· This event is one of ITD’s scheduled maintenance windows, during which essential work is carried out to enhance and improve University systems. The schedule of maintenance windows for 2012 is  on the ITD website (http://www.une.edu.au/it-services/policies/ ).  Please check these dates before planning any events that may require I.T. services or support.
