In accordance with the ITD’s scheduled maintenance window plan, the next maintenance event will occur on Saturday 8th January 2011.

This is a full day maintenance outage. ITD will be performing maintenance work between 6:00am and 6:00pm and as a result of this:

  1. There will be brief disruptions to most services throughout this period. The nature of these minor disruptions is due to individual systems being updated and restarted throughout the maintenance window. These will be kept to a minimum and made as brief as possible.
  2. Unix mail services may be unavailable for extended periods between 6:00am and 1:00pm as data centre maintenance work is carried out. Incoming and outgoing emails will be queued and delivered once the system is back online. Exchange email will not be affected.
  3. The University’s PABX system will be upgraded on the day and the phone system will be unavailable for the whole day. No incoming our outgoing phone calls to UNE will be possible during the upgrade

This event is one of a regular schedule of maintenance windows during which essential upgrades and maintenance improvements are applied to University systems. A schedule of maintenance windows is available on the ITD website.
