Issue:  Temporary disruption to power

Reason:  Removal of vermin from switchboard and replace circuit breaker

Advice of ITD Scheduled System Outage, Saturday 20 November

Update: The maintenance has now been completed and systems are back to normal. If you are still experiencing problems please email the IT Service Desk at servicedesk@une.edu.au or call 67735000 after 8.30am Monday.

In accordance with the ITD’s scheduled maintenance calendar, the next maintenance event will occur on Saturday November 20, 2010. Note: *This is a full-day event*.

A number of major tasks have been scheduled for that day, being the first maintenance day after the majority of academic programs have concluded for the year.

Due to major, essential electrical upgrades taking place in the Data Centre, most online services and internet access will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Due to major, essential software updates being applied to all university PABX systems, all telephony services will be unavailable for significant periods during the maintenance period.

The program of works will be undertaken between 6 am and 6 pm.

Sakai problems – Tuesday, 16th November, 12.30pm

We are currently experiencing problems with the Sakai online teaching systems. Blackboard and Esubmission are available.

The IT Team is currently working on the problem and we are hoping to have the issues resolved soon.
