F.M.S. wish to advise that there will be an interruption to the following service due to works being undertaken:

Location:   Services UNE – (Bistro, DeliMarche, Credit Union, Tune FM, United Campus Bookshop – C018), Dixson Library (C031) Education Building (E007)  Yarm Gwanga (C019) and Milton Building (E006) 

Issue:  Water  shutdown

Reason:  Replace water valve 

Date(s):  Today Monday 30 August 2010 

Time:  2.00pm to 2.30pm (approximately)

Issue:  Minor disruptions as Contractor moves through buildings 

Reason:  Cleaning of all Fumehoods. 

(Please note:  OHS Requirement that all chemicals and equipment are moved and Fumehoods are wiped down.)

Service Desk opening hours – this Sunday (1.00 – 5.00 pm only)

Due to staff unavailability, the IT Service Desk will be open this Sunday, 1st August, from 1pm to 5pm only (not 9am – 5pm).

If you require support during the morning, please email servicedesk@une.edu.au or leave a voicemail on 02 67735000 and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Apologies for the inconvenience – normal weekend service will resume next week.

Brief outage of esubmission – Friday, 6th August 2010

To implement a security patch on the esubmission system, electronic submission of assignment will be unavailable for a brief period between 8am and 9am on Friday, 6th August.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused – normal service will be restored by 9am at the latest.

Spoof email regarding your Webmail account – DO NOT RESPOND

Another email asking staff and students to send their email details and password to a spoof address (pretending to be the Webmail administrator) has been received by users at UNE. This is NOT a genuine email from UNE – we never ask for your password details by email.

Please ignore and delete the email – DO NOT RESPOND!

An example of the message is below:
Dear UNE Webmail User,
You have almost exceeded your webmail storage quota. To avoid account deletion, please click on the link below http://verificationdb.4sql.xxx/xxxxxxxxx Please endeavor to respond within the next 48 hours to prevent your account from deletion. These measures are part of our security policies and we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused.
