Update, ITD-Info: Problems with Barney (Windows File Server) - Thursday, 24th September 2009

The problem with  mapping to Barney file shares or accessing applications that rely on the Windows file system (such as the Trim Records Management System) has mainly been resolved.

There may still be some performance issues, further work will be done between 5 and 10 tonight to resolve these issues. During this time further brief service interruptions may be occuring.

We apologise for any inconvenience the problem has  caused.

We are currently experiencing problems with our main Windows file server, Barney.

Currently, you may experience problems mapping to Barney file shares or accessing applications that rely on the Windows file system (such as the Trim Records Management System).

Our Windows server administrators are currently working on the issue and are hoping to have full functionality restored soon.

In the meantime, we apologise for the inconvenience the problem is causing.
