ITD-Info: Problems with the Windows file server (Barney) - Tuesday, 25th August 2009

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Dear colleagues,
We are currently experiencing problems with our main Windows file server, Barney. Earlier issues with the server have been partially resolved but more work is required to restore full functionality.

Currently, you may experience problems mapping to Barney file shares or accessing applications that rely on the Windows file system (such as the Trim Records Management System).

At 5.00pm today, we will take Barney offline to complete the repair work and expect the system to be fully operational again later on this evening.

In the meantime, we apologise for the inconvenience the problem is causing.
