F.M.S. wish to advise that there will be an interruption to the following service due to works being undertaken:

We are currently experiencing some performance issue with the Sakai Learning Management system - it is running slow for some users.
We are working on the issue and are hoping to have it resolved soon.

In accordance with the ITD’s scheduled maintenance window plan, the next maintenance event will occur on Saturday 13th June 2008.

ITD will be performing maintenance work between 6:00am and 12noon and as a result of this,

1. Access to all University services from outside the campus will be unavailable between 6am and 7:30am.
2. Access to email will be unavailable for the complete maintenance window. NOTE:- No email will be lost as a result of the activity.
3. There will be minor disruptions to all services including the internet throughout the morning. The nature of these minor disruptions is due to individual systems being updated and restarted throughout the maintenance window.

This event is one of a regular schedule of maintenance windows during which essential upgrades and maintenance improvements will be applied to University systems. A schedule of maintenance windows for 2009 will be published shortly.

Schedule times may vary to cater for important events such as residential schools and notices regarding the schedule of maintenance windows will be posted on the ITD Services Announcements web page before each scheduled window.

Please check the ITD service announcements web page regularly for information relating to ITD services interruptions and planned events.

To carry out important maintenance, the Sakai Learning Management system will be restarted on Wednesday, 3rd June 2009 at 8.00 am and will be unavailable for approx 15 minutes.

Dear Colleagues,

ITD would like to advise that AARNet who provide our internet connectivity will be performing work on our fibre optic connection next week on Wednesday 3rd May.  This work will result in two outages to UNE’s internet connection of approximately one minute’s duration between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on each day. Unfortunately we are unable to provide more specific timeframes for these outages and as the activity will be occurring in Transgrid substations out of hours scheduling of this work is not possible.

During these hours Staff and Students using the internet or services using the internet link e.g. Web/Video conferencing, file transfers, etc, may notice a short interruption.
