Upcoming UNE AARNet outages

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Hi All

We have been advised by AARNet that work will be performed on our Fibre Optic connection next week on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th May.  This work will result in 2 outages to UNE’s internet connection of approximately 1 minute in duration between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm each day.

People using the internet may notice that pages may not load and if they wait for two to three minutes and try again, the internet will be connecting correctly. Users off campus will also notice that connectivity to UNE will be affected.

ITD will have staff on hand in case of complications.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide more specific timeframes for these outages.
