Brief outage of Blackboard - 7am-7.30am, 27th February 2009

ITD wish to advise of a brief restart to the Blackboard learning environment at 7am the 27th of February.

The outage is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.

The Sakai learning environment and other systems; e.g. eSubmission, eReserve and others will not be affected.

Notice of Disruption - Electricity Supply - Oorala Centre (E022) and The Lodge (E021)

Notice of Distruption to Services - Temporary closure to Loading Dock - Woolshed (W049)

F.M.S. wish to advise that there will be the following inconvenience due to works being undertaken:

Location(s):   Loading Dock - Building W049 (Woolshed)

Issue:  Driveway upgrade

Reason:  Bricon Constructions will be undertaking the driveway upgrade. Pedestrian access is still OK but vehicles will not be able to access the loading dock.

Disruption to the University Phone Systems - 19/02/2009 - RESOLVED

This issue below has now been resolved. Please contact the IT Service Desk (servicedesk@une.edu.au) or x5000 if you are still experiencing problems.

Dear Staff and Students,

The University phone systems are currently unavailable. ITD staff are attending to the issue and are in contact with the equipment vendors to identify and recover the service. At this stage the issue appears to be in the switching equipment linking the central PABX servers to the individual handset extensions.

Please accept our apologies for this outage and service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Further notices will be issued as information comes to hand.

IT-Info: Network replacement project outage notice

Dear Colleagues,

 

As previously advised ITD is progressively moving services to the new network and the next outage to permit this will occur Friday February 6, 2009 between the hours of 06:30 and 08:00 and internet services may be disrupted during this period.

 

Information about the project will be posted to the Net-Ops mailing list and on the ITD service announcements web page. When necessary ITD will also email support staff in each area to advise of upcoming changes, what impact they can expect and what actions, if any, they will need to perform.
