F.M.S wish to advise that there will be some inconvenience to services due to the following works being undertaken:

Location:  Internal roads on the Western side of the Academic Campus.

Issue: Disruption to mail services

Reason: Resealing of bitumen roads and selected car parks.

(Please note:  Deliveries will be made but run times will be affected.)

The UNE Blog will be offline for a period of time on Monday morning to enable a software upgrade.

This will introduce some changes to the look and feel of the dashboard and also allow for tagging and tag clouds as requested by a number of bloggers.

Dear Colleagues,
 

As previously advised ITD is progressively moving services to the new network and the next outage to permit this will occur tomorrow morning (Friday January 30, 2009) between the hours of 07:00 and 08:00. Internet services may be disrupted during this period.

Information about the project will be posted to the Net-Ops mailing list and on the ITD service announcements web page. When necessary ITD will also email support staff in each area to advise of upcoming changes, what impact they can expect and what actions, if any, they will need to perform.

ITD wish to advise that there will be an interruption of the Exchange mail system for approximately 2 hours this evening starting at 9:00pm.

 

During this outage users will not be able to access their mail and calendars via Microsoft Outlook or the Outlook Web Access client (OWA).

 

Please note that no mail will be lost, mail delivery will continue when the system has been brought back up.

Dear Colleagues,

Following the successful transfer central data centre equipment from our current network to the new network infrastructure last Friday morning we now need to transfer the external internet feed.

The outage to effect this transfer will occur Thursday January 22, 2009 between the hours of 06:00 and 08:00 and internet access will be disrupted during this period.

Ongoing information about the network replacement project will be posted to the Net-Ops mailing list and on the ITD service announcements web page.

ITD is planning an outage to the Microsoft Exchange Server this Saturday starting at 8:00am.

 

This is to install the new SSL certificate and is expected to last for three hours.

This means no Exchange users will be able to connect to the Exchange system to retrieve mail during the outage.Mail will still be delivered, but it will be held on the backend servers until the full system has been brought back up.

 

The Exchange server is currently still in a pilot rollout phase and the outage will only affect users that have already been migrated (VC Office, Library and ITD). No student email accounts or non-Exchange staff accounts will be affected.
