Please be advised that work on the replacement of the roofing of the McClymont roof will commence this coming Monday the 3^rd November 2008, work will commence with the erection of security fencing to the Eastern block after which scaffolding will be erected. Work on this block will be over the period from the 3^rd November to the 14^th November when the scaffolding will be removed and relocated to the Southern side of the main block.  Further notices of disruption will be put out on completion of the Eastern block. Please note that all dates are subject to weather condition such as rain and wind.

‘Due to a planned upgrade to Callista, the system will be unavailable from approximately 6am on Saturday the 1st of November until 11am on Monday the 3rd of November.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note that services through myUNE will be affected by this outage – information on the myInfo tab (including enrolment details, exams and financial details) and some information on the myStudy tab (including online results) will be unavailable over this period.

This Wednesday evening (29^th October) UNE will be introducing some significant enhancements to AskUNE , our innovative, online student information and enquiry management system.  On AskUNE you can access information 24/7 on a wide range of subjects, submit questions and track progress of your enquiries. 

From Thursday, if you click on one of the AskUNE links on the UNE web you will be taken to a new page which will include a special link for Current Students.  This link will take you directly to our new AskUNE site, with its improved ‘look and feel’ and ‘Google-like’, summarised search returns.  You will also find that searches on a course or subject offered by UNE will return answers from UNE’s Course and Unit catalogue, along with any relevant answers from AskUNE itself.

In addition, to access ‘My History’ or to use ‘Contact Us’, students will be asked to login to the system using their normal myUNE login details.  This will enable AskUNE enquiry services to be better tailored to students’ needs through their more rapid identification within the system – and with only one UNE password to remember!  If you are already logged in to myUNE, you will not be asked to login again during a session.
