Dear Staff and Students,
In accordance with the scheduled maintenance window procedure the change advisory board met to consider the activities scheduled and feedback received from the community regarding scheduled outage.
As a number of requests were received regarding residential schools clashing with the timeframe the scope of the maintenance activities has been scaled back to urgent activities only.
Accordingly the outage window will now occur between 06:00am and 09:00am and will no longer affect all services.
During this period the following services will be either unavailable or service levels reduced:
All other services will not be affected.
This event is one of a regular schedule of maintenance windows during which essential upgrades and maintenance improvements will be applied to University systems. Â The schedule includes a major full day outage every quarter and a shorter outage every month. Â These are scheduled to take place on the third Saturday every month and quarterly in (Jan, Apr, Jul & Oct). Times may be varied to cater for important events such as residential schools, and notices regarding the schedule of maintenance windows will be posted on the ITD Services Announcements web page before each scheduled window.
Please check the ITD service announcements web page regularly for information relating to ITD services and events.
To reiterate, for this scheduled maintenance window email delivery will be impacted and a limited number of other services will be unavailable.

F.M.S. wish to advise that Lighting is to be installed in the Northern Car Park commencing Monday 15th September which is expected to take several weeks to complete. To facilitate the laying of cables & the erection of light posts, parts of the Northern Car Park will be closed during this period, limiting the number of car parks avialable. Please note that alturnate parking during this period of disruption will be either in the Car Park behind the Boiler House or along Clarks Rd.
