Hello everybody!!!
Welcome to the first posting in Robb College’s Blog which is to replace the Robbers Newsletter but be assured it will have the usual favourite sections featured from Robbers to keep all of you out there updated on the news, reviews, reminders and upcoming events here at our great college.
A new feature to be included in this blog is the weekly menu from our fabulous and ever pleasing kitchen staff…..this section has been made especially for all those residents too lazy to see whats cooking in the Dining Hall. To find out whats for dinner or lunch just check the “Whats Cookin” section of the Blog.
So now thats all out of the way lets get this blog rollin’…..
Robb Notices
- Please remember to pay the next installment of college fees they were due on Monday 21st August -remember late fees of 5% will apply if it is not paid by the 4th of September.
- Posters have been put up all around college regarding Senior Resident Fellow, Resident Fellows and Academic Assistant positions for 2007, all those interested in any of these positions should read the posters carefully or see the front office for more details.
- Keep a lookout for notices on the whiteboards around college. There are heaps of important info that you guys need to know!!
- Can everyone please remember to keep the noise down when returning from the pub….noise fines do apply for repeat and annoying offenders!! Anyone wanting to make noise complaints should call the duty fellow on 1700- you will not be fined for calling
Upcoming events
- Buffet Dinner/Debating/Public Speaking Finals are on Thursday 24th August (tomorrow). Semi-formal dress and a 6pm for 6;30pm start. Anyone not able to make it please have a written letter explaining your absence to Wraggie.
- College photos are taking place Friday 25th August with everyone asked to be there and ready by 12pm, the dress is smart casual and beaming smiles!!! It will be part of history dont miss out!!!
- Netty and Footy are on this weekend, anyone not busy doing stuff should head out and support our fantastic ladies and gents!!
PT Victory
Last Sunday the 20th August saw our dashing lads win overall victory in the PT volleyball comp….with no substitutes nearing the end of the competition our boys put in a fine effort to steal victory from the PT leaders Drummond & Smith….Well done to all the guys who came and played, the whole college is proud of your fine display of athleticism and finesse.
Waterpolo Winners
The new waterpolo season has started and the team has got off to a flying start winning their first two games!! Congratulations to the team for all your great work…..keep it up!!
Anyone wanting to watch the team show off their stuff, keep a lookout for times on the whiteboard in the dining hall.
Tip of the week
If you’re planning a night out, make sure to check if you have done all your assignments that are due…..and check if you have anything due the next day….if not, you may have more than a hangover to worry about!!!
