Program Overview
The Regional Graduate program at ANZ is all about developing a pipeline of talent to
support our commercial and agribusiness customers across regional Australia. Our
graduate program develops skilled professionals that are based in the regional
communities they serve. This allows our bankers to have an intimate knowledge of
our customers’ needs, the unique challenges they face and the financial solutions
that will assist them.

Who makes a good Regional Australia Graduate at ANZ?
Our ANZ Regional Australia Graduates have a passion for regional Australia and
agribusiness. Successful people within our team take an end-to-end approach to
their work. They are involved in:
- challenging projects,
- collaborating across cross functional areas of ANZ,
- understanding our customers and
- articulating our customer proposition.
For this reason, our best Regional Australia Graduates have strong networks within
the communities of regional Australia. They are individuals who build and maintain
relationships in a business environment, forming key networks to appropriately
handle their workload. Those that are able to manage themselves autonomously are
highly regarded, with team work also an essential ingredient for success.
Students who are studying, or have completed, Commerce, Business or
Agriculture related degrees with consistently high grades are well suited to a
role in regional banking.
- Ideally our graduates have an interest in or an understanding of,
- agribusiness, customer service or how a business financially operates.
- Great opportunities are available throughout Australia and the ability to be
- mobile is expected.
In addition to your academic record, we’re genuinely interested in what makes you

life experiences all add to your knowledge and ability. ANZ graduates are a diverse
group of individuals who will bring something different to the table; they are all
rounders with good communication skills with the attitude to succeed.
Rotations
Rotations and what they mean for an ANZ Regional Australia Graduate
At ANZ we believe in giving you the broadest experience possible so you can gain a
working knowledge of ANZ. That’s why we provide an 18 month Graduate Program
consisting of three unique six month placements across the following areas:
- Customer relationship
- Product
- Enablement functions (such as credit & operations)
This gives you a comprehensive overview of our business and is a great way for you
and your managers to evaluate your future career path with us.
Each rotation will see you introduced to new ANZ teams, products and policies and
you are given plenty of opportunity to network and learn from peers and
stakeholders alike. We pride ourselves on a graduate program that enables you to
maximise opportunities for personal growth as you move through different areas of
ANZ.
The ANZ Regional Australia Graduate Program is unique with the exciting opportunity
to be located in regional Australia. With this opportunity comes the expectation that
you will be mobile for the duration of the 18 month program. The great part is you
will be directly involved with commercial and agribusiness customers!
