On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated and committed Undergraduate Engineer (3rd/4th year) to actively support the Asset Management Planning programs being delivered by the Team Manager. This position will provide technical and engineering support to the team manager, as well as ensuring the efficient and cost effective execution of annual works programs. 

  • Assistance in planning and development of minor works projects such as vegetation control systems, fencing upgrades, surface drainage and policing of preventative maintenance reporting adherence.
  • Assistance in the scoping and costing of minor works
  • Involvement in the costing, scope and development of Routine Maintenance.
  • Contributing to the development of detailed projects plans of minor works
  • Providing accurate reports from the Asset Management System
  • Actively enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participation in projects as required

Youth Outreach Worker
 
Student Support Officer will strengthen the schools’ student welfare provisions by supporting the principal, school counsellor and the school’s learning support team/student welfare team, assisting to plan, design and implement student wellbeing programs.
 
Applicants are invited from qualified applicants who have a recent tertiary qualifiction in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.
 
Salary: $52,489 to $54,977 per annum depending on qualification. 
  • Location: Tenterfield High School (Tenterfield)
  • This is a temporary appointment up to 21 December 2012 with possibility of extension.
  • Student Support Officers (Graduate) will be employed under the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Award 2009.  Hours of duty will be seven (7) hours per day, excluding breaks. Flexible Working Hours arrangements will apply. Start and finish times will be negotiated with consideration to the needs of the school. 
  • Student Support Officers (Graduate) will be remunerated at a rate of $52,489 – $54,977 per annum, dependant on qualifications, as per the Youth Outreach Worker classification of the Social Workers Various Departments Agreement No 2374 of 1982.
  • Tertiary qualifications are prescribed as one of the following: 1) Degree from a higher education institution within Australia. 2) A degree from a higher education institution outside Australia that is recognised within the guidelines of the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition.
  • “Recent” is prescribed as the degree being awarded within the last 5 years.
  • Post Graduate qualifications obtained within the last 5 years are not applicable under this initiative.
  • It is an offence for a person convicted of a serious sex offence to apply for this position. Relevant screening checks will be conducted on recommended applicants.
  • All applicants invited to interview will be required to complete a Declaration and employment screening consent form.
  • Applicants invited to interview will also be required to produce copies of 100 points of Proof of Identity (Note: applicants who have never worked for the Department of Education and Communities will need to provide their birth certificate as part of the 100 points).
