Dalby Rural Supplies is an established locally owned company selling Ag Chemical, Seed,  Fertiliser and Rural Merchandise.  Our company has been recognised as winners of the Western Downs Regional Council Business Excellence Awards and also the CRT National Member of the Year Awards.  We are seeking a motivated broad acre and/or cotton agronomist to become part of our team, helping to maintain our customer base and build new business in the Dalby region.

The role includes:
- Working mainly in the field with clients
- Working as a team of management, current agronomist and merchandise staff
- Developing and implementing strategies to value add to company’s current service
- Taking on existing farm plans and building on current farm plans for customers
- Selling chemical, fertiliser and rural merchandise to clients

The successful applicant must have/be:
- A passionate agronomist
- A degree or diploma in agriculture
- A positive personality with excellent communication skills is essential
- Self motivated
- A current drivers licence and folk lift licence.
- Current Agsafe accreditation.
- Computer skills

An attractive remuneration package, including company vehicle and mobile phone, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Agfarm began as a grain marketing organisation, however has since developed a complementary range of business units that also offer logistics, and managed grain marketing programs.
 
The Operations Assistant is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Operations Manager to ensure that operational compliance and initiatives are achieved across Agfarm Businesses.

This role may suit a graduate as it will give the successful candidate great operational exposure to all aspects of this innovative agribusiness including but not limited to: grain broking, freight and logistics coordination and managed grain marketing products.

Responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and Reporting within Agfarm systems 
- General administration and team support
- Produce comprehensive daily report for growers with a high standard of professionalism
- Correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordination of the casual office support employee roster
- Maintain Agfarm incoming generic emails and action or distribute accordingly
- Promote and extend the Agfarm brand in all aspects of your role

To be successful in this role you will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment with the ability to meet strict deadlines with a keen eye for detail in addition to:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and or Agriculture
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Publisher
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to create and maintain accurate and accessible documentation
- Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Exposure to, or experience in an agribusiness would be an advantage, however not essential
