The Armidale Dumaresq Council Safety sub-committee which deals with social issues related to alcohol misuse has applied for funding through NRMA to develop a register of support services and programs in the Armidale Dumaresq area which deal with alcohol or other drug issues. The Committee would like to make this position available to a student at UNE as either a WorkReady/Work300/500 opportunity and/ or as a NEA placement. Supervision and office space will be provided.
The successful student will need to be a self starter, have good research skills and a level of confidence in dealing with a broad range of individuals and Groups. This position would certainly suit students in Sociology, Criminology or even Business (Market Research). They will need good computer skills and the ability to develop either a web-based register or a print based one which can be loaded onto a website.
