ITD charges UNE departments $5 per month for internet access for staff. But it turns out that some areas have been paying for internet access for ‘phantom staff’, who are no longer at UNE.
It might not sound like much but a growingĂ‚Â army of ‘phantom staff’ could end up becoming a significant cost. All area managers are encouraged to check staff lists and kill off any phantom workers.
