I passed!

I passed! Says it all really. I did the work and I passed. Boring for the rest of you, I know, but arduous for me.  The comments from Linguistics for Language Teachers were very kind, about the reading I’d done and wishing me a good future.  I’d used a lot of material from a book called ‘Uncovering Grammar’ by Thornbury, a book which takes an ‘emergence’ approach to grammar teaching.

So, I’m chuffed, I am.  Now on to ESL method and special ed.  Thanks are due to my supervisor at Deakin, who put me on to the Thornbury book, Sam Carroll who did the course last year and who gave me a lot of help and listened to my grizzle and of course the wonderful Mitsuko, my wife, who did a lot of work to give me the time to study.

y eehaishly yours,

Floyd

Yatta! Almost…..now on to special education

Yatta! because I’ve passed my last English assignment very well (hd). Now I just have to wait for the last Linguistics for Language Teachers assignment, about which I’m much more fearful.  We’ll see.

I’ve reenrolled - now I want to get ready for the SPecial Education and TESOL courses…onwards and upwards!

Yataaa!

Well almost yataa (means Yippee! in Japanese). I finished my last assignment for the year and have hopes that it will pass.  I feel jubiliant, but aware of the need to get cracking on next year now and to fix the procrastination.  Still, yippee, it’s done!  I celebrated by wiping out weeks of spam posts.

yours onwardly and upfully,

Floyd
