Yaama, G’day, Hello
Yaama, G’day, Hello
I would like to acknowledge the Custodians of the lands where I live and work; I pay my respects to Elders past and present and also acknowledge our children, for just as our Elders have lit the way for us in the past our children will hold the light when we are gone.
As you may have guessed Yaama is how we say hello in my language, I am a Gomaroi man from down the hill at Tamworth (yes the country music capital) and have taken up the position of Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Employment Officer here at the University of New England.
I am looking forward to living and working here in Armidale, but in saying that I have yet to do a full winter up here so we will see how much I am enjoying it in a couple of months.
Well that’s enough from me, if you need to contact me please see the details below
