UNE4ME
Posted in Uncategorized, UNE4ME on March 28, 2012 by rwaters8Next Wednesday the 4th of April will see the first part of the UNE4ME initiative rolled out with the UNE4ME day.
The day is aimed at Yr 4-6 Aboriginal students and their parents and carers from Armidale and surrounding areas. This event will be the first in a series of initiatives aimed at increasing engagement between the University and the Aboriginal community.
The students will hear from current Aboriginal staff members at different levels of the organisation and also from students about personal experiences of being here at UNE. The students will then have the chance to get up close and personal with well known actor Luke Carroll (pictured above) as he talks about his own journey with his acting career and the foundation that education has laid for him.
Talk with you all soon,
Robbie

I wish to pay my respects to the Custodians of the lands we are on and pay my respects to our elders both past and present. I also acknowledge our children, for just as our elders have lit the way for us in the past, our children will hold the light when we are gone.
