Early Childhood Education in Bhutan

In February, March and April of 2008, Early Childhood Education at UNE will be working with the Royal University in Bhutan. This consultancy responds to a request from RUB for a collaborative project ‘to integrate early childhood education programmes and to strengthen the elementary education programmes at the pre-service teacher education’ level at the two colleges of education, Paro and Samtse. The particular focus is on teacher quality improvement in the early years of education, that is PP to 111, with early childhood teachers having specific and appropriate training in the focus area.      We are launching this blog to facilitate the collaborative process between the Early Childhood staff at UNE and the participants in Bhutan.We hope the blog will also provid a means of connecting with and sharing information with other professionals with an interest in Early Childhood in Bhutan.
